The Vintage Sports Car Club of America - V.S.C.C.A., Inc. - is the oldest automotive preservation club in America that offers a complete race program in addition to rally and other automotive conservation events.  The emphasis is on rare and unusual sports & racing cars including pre-war and certain post war cars through December 31, 1959.

We exist "to encourage the acquisition, preservation, restoration, and operation of vintage sports cars"

Wednesday 30 December, 2009: Karen Gilmore

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Karen Gilmore passed away last night in Colorado. The loving wife of our treasurer, Howie Gilmore, Karen was among the classiest and gentlest women this writer has been privileged to know in the Vintage Sports Car Club of America or anywhere else in life for that matter. She was always full of life and with a ready smile for one and all. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Howie and to their family as well as to her countless friends.

R. Willis Leith, a founder of the VSCCA and the only man to have influenced the club continuously for its entire fifty year year history, passed away on Friday, the 13th of March.   The club is poorer for his loss and saddened that we will no longer have access to his considerable wisdom and enthusiasm.   A memorial is being planned for April.   The club extends its heartfelt sympathy to his widow, Barbara, and to his children and grandchildren. Requiescat in Pace.*
