MEMBERSHIP IN THE VINTAGE SPORTS CAR CLUB of AMERICA

 

A Vintage car enthusiast who supports the purposes and philosophy of the VSCCA, reflected in the O'Donnell Letter, would like to become a member should write, requesting an application form to the secretary:

**The new application form specifies the requirements for applying, which include a recommendation from two People who has been a members for at least one year.   If you do not know anyone in the club, you can attend any of our events as a spectator* to get to know some of our members.

** from a note on 11-17-10 - John Schieffelin - And, oh yes, we are back to requiring 2 letters for new member applications.
I just wrote the following paragraph about that for my "Ponderings" page in the next magazine:

You may ask, why can¹t new members join the VSCCA electronically? The answer is that we are a Club composed of people who share a common interest, and so that we are not misunderstood we require a prospective member to get two letters of recommendation from members who know him/her and understand our philosophy and purpose. A bit behind the times, but knowing people face-to-face will never be outmoded.
