Is it 2008 already? well I guess it is time to invite you to what has become one of the lowest key, fun
events on the VSCCA calendar.
For the VSCCA June tour, we will meet & stay at the world-renowned
Red Lion Inn
of Stockbridge MA
(pictured on the far right of the famous Norman Rockwell Painting.)

This year we are asking all VSCCA tour members to forward this invite to members of other automotive clubs
you belong to: Jaguar Club, Aston Martin Owners Club, Triumph, MG, Porsche 356, Bugatti,
Alfa, Bentley etc... We always enjoy a mix of VSCCA members and other interesting vintage automotive enthusiasts.
For the 50th anniversary we would like to make even more new friends.
You do not have to be a VSCCA member to join us,
and
your car does not have to be over 50 years old (but, it may be more fun if it is.)
As in past years, we will travel over wonderful country roads, eat well and maybe find some time for a museum,
fine antiquing or just relaxing on the famous front porch (or pool) of the Red Lion Inn.
I'll post as many details as possible now and have an entry form ready in early February. But please make
your hotel reservation as early as is feasible, as we may have to block out more rooms for this ever growing event.
June 20th, Friday Eve - Check in,
7:30pm on, meet in the Lions Den for informal get together - cash bar, light pub fare.
June 21st, Saturday:
hotel guests meet - 7:30am-9:00am in the Townsend Room for Continental Breakfast -
Coffee/decaf/tea-Assorted Juices-Bagels, Cream Cheese & Jams-Assorted Muffins & Sweet Butter
then all meet at starting point around 9:05 AM - first cars off by 9:30 AM - travel about 100 miles.
Light Lunch - Pub Menu in a historic setting (menu based - about $30.00 per couple)
after lunch: more touring - 50-60 miles, visit a local Art museum or two, or quick route directions toward fine antiquing
and/or just relaxing back at the Red Lion Inn (front porch or poolside recommended.)
June 21st, Saturday Evening:
5:30pm -Reception in Lion's Court, Cash Bar
then
6:30pm - Dinner in Hitchcock Room of the Red Lion Inn
Menu: 1st Course: Soup, Salad Main
Course :-Prime Rib-Salmon-Chicken-Vegetarian
Dessert: Crisp & Coffee/decaf/tea
June 22nd, Sunday:
7:30am-9:00am hotel guests meet in Townsend room for Continental Breakfast-
Coffee/decaf/tea-Assorted Juices-Bagels,
Cream Cheese & Jams-Assorted Muffins & Sweet Butter

All meet at starting point around 9:10 AM - off by 9:30 AM - Sunday tradition: We take a drive
together 60-80 miles and then stop for lunch together (menu based) then some pack and head home
while others stay over another day and enjoy the Berkshire charm at their own pace.

You will send me $55.00 per car and $60.00 per person for the Red Lion Dinner. Friday Eve,
Saturday Lunch & Sunday Lunch - Menu based - average $10.00 to $20.00 per person according to taste.
The Hotel:
Room reservations will be made on an individual basis, according to hotel reservation policy.
Members will be asked to guarantee their rooms with a deposit. Call our Reservations Office at

Set aside now - 20 Rooms per night.
12 rooms with private bath, some with two beds (a variety of twins and doubles are included) and some with a
queen or king sized bed. Some in Main Inn and some in Guest House accommodations.
RATE: $240 per room, per night plus 9.7% tax, net
8 "European Style" rooms with shared bath "down the hall," some with a full sized bed and some with two twins
RATE: $115 per room, per night plus 9.7% tax, net
**Both room rates include continental breakfast with VSCCA group**
Sweet! -> For guests who would like to extend their stay with us by adding Thursday or Sunday
evening, a rate of $107 per room, per night has been made available for standard rooms
(breakfast not included) and European Style rooms are available at $89 (continental breakfast included).
The Hotel small print:
Remind your attendees that the
rate is available until April, 22, 2008.
RELEASE DATE: The release date for your rooms is 60 days prior to the arrival date (April 22, 2008).
At that time, any unreserved rooms will be released back into the Inn's inventory. If at a later date,
you should need to make any additions, please make that request through your group sales contact.
