More InformationOriginally purchased, and imported to the U.S. by Grand Prix and Vanderbuilt Cup racer Dario Resta. He commissioned Brewster & Co. to build a lightweight aluminum body to fit the powerful 6 cylinder overhead cam chassis. In the mid 1940s the car was sold to Alec Ullman - a pioneer of sports car racing in North America (SCCA) before being acquired by major collector D. Cameron Peck. Since then, the car has passed through only two other private collectors hands. Since 2008 it has resided in a small high caliber New England collection, being driven regularly in good weather. This Sunbeam is a very capable, and rarely prewar touring car! Asking $101,500 USD.
