Please note that car & personal safety regulations that differ depending on the type of event apply. See specific event for details.

Wheel-to-wheel racing

  • VMC, SCCA and similar logbook cars through the early 70’s from VMC affiliated groups that meet VSCCA safety regulations and are equivalent to SVRA groups 1, 3, 4, and 5b i.e. sports and small bore production cars through early seventies and sports racing cars under 2 liters, all running on treaded tires. This would of course include cars with VSCCA logbooks.
  • Drivers need a VMC (vintage racing) license and safety gear, but if you don’t have a license, the VSCCA offers a race school each spring. Join us!
  • Strict car and personal safety regulations apply.

Preservation track group

Race and street cars through the early 70’s. These can be entered for our “track day” events at Lime Rock Park during our Spring Sprints and Fall Finale events - in a group that doesn’t allow wheel-to-wheel racing and passing only on the straights. Relaxed car and personal safety regulations apply.

Autocross

Any muffled car. No safety gear except a helmet if your car a roll bar. Passengers allowed.

Hill Climbs

Similar to wheel-to-wheel racing requirements, but specific to the event.

Tours

We prefer early seventies and older cars, but allow daily drivers.
